24/7 Emergency Roadside Service

The Emergency Roadside Service (ERS) will help you through unexpected difficulties with your vehicle, or the one in which you are riding. You can call for ERS assistance whether you are the driver or passenger of the car other than the one registered under your membership provided that you are personally present at the time of the service request. Moreover, the AAP-registered vehicle is entitled to round-the-clock ERS support even if you are not around in the time of the service request.

Get help and call our ERS hotlines for towing, flat tire change, dead battery, home start or fuel provision services when your car breaks down anywhere in Metro Manila, Metro Cebu and Metro Davao, and in areas where AAP is the exclusive ERS provider which include the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), the Skyway and ground level expressway from Magallanes to Alabang.

The ERS team works 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to serve club members and aims to provide service within 20 to 40 minutes if weather and traffic conditions permit.

Your name

AAP membership number

Model, color and make of your vehicle

License plate number of your vehicle

Exact location where your vehicle is stalled and landmark

Access restrictions or limitations (e.g. basement parking or multi-level parking, in which case you may have to ask for assistance from the building staff first.)

Location where your vehicle is to be towed

Describe what you think is the problem of your vehicle

Always appoint a representative to ride with the ERS team while the vehicle is being towed. Toll fees, village fees and other costs incurred during the service will be shouldered by the club member.

Club members may avail of 24/7 ERS such as:

1. Towing Service

AAP is known to own and operate state-of-the-art ERS vehicles equipped with global positioning system (GPS) tracking device that allows AAP dispatchers to know exactly which ERS vehicle is closest to the site of accident or breakdown. The ERS vehicles are used for a variety of rescue operations because of their flexibility and wide range of equipment.

2. Flat Tire Change

AAP will send an ERS team right to the location where your car is stalled to help you replace a flat tire.

Tips

If you happen to experience a flat tire while driving, the first thing that you should do is to bring your car to the nearest safe place clear from vehicular traffic. You may also request for assistance if your car has a flat tire in your house’s garage or in a public parking area.

3. Dead Battery Service

The ERS team will test, boost and, if necessary, install a new battery right on the spot. In addition, you can get the AAP Car Battery, exclusively manufactured for AAP by Outlast, at very special rates with free delivery and installation within Metro Manila.

Tips

1. If your battery is already near its end-of-life or it is in fact already on its end-of-life, your car won’t start again the next time you attempt to turn the engine on.  If you suspect that this is the case with your battery, DO NOT TO TURN OFF your engine until you have reached your house or your destination.

2. If you suspect an abnormal battery drain, DO NOT TURN ON your car’s accessories that require electrical power, including your car air conditioner.

3. Have your battery checked immediately and replace it with a new unit if necessary.

4. Home Start

You may request for assistance even if your car is in the safety of your homes. Home starts are usually scheduled and requested for dead batteries, flat tires and towing or transport to repair shops.

Since a home start is strictly NOT an emergency, priority will be given to club members who are on emergency roadside situations.

5. Provision of Fuel

When your vehicle runs out of fuel, AAP will bring you a sufficient amount of fuel to allow you to go to the nearest gasoline station. Club members pay only for the fuel, the delivery is free of charge.

Number of ERS interventions

Club members are entitled to free ERS interventions within AAP’s service areas depending on the type of your membership (see table on page _). In excess of the ERS intervention entitlements, club members will be charged P400.00 per non-towing intervention or P40 per kilometer in excess of the towing distance entitlement.

Call to cancel

Call the AAP hotline 723 0808 to cancel your ERS booking if you are able to start your vehicle before the arrival of the ERS team. ERS requests that are not cancelled will be deducted against the club member’s ERS intervention entitlements.

Service Areas

AAP provides ERS anywhere within the boundaries of Metro Manila, Metro Davao, Metro Cebu, NLEX, SCTEX, Skyway and ground level expressway from Magallanes to Alabang, as well as within a radius of 25 kilometer from the AAP satellite offices.

Breakdown outside of AAP’s service areas

The ERS team will rescue you even if you experience car breakdown outside of AAP’s service areas. However, beyond the defined service area limits, the distance traveled by the ERS vehicle will be charged against your ERS entitlements or will have to be paid for. Once the ERS vehicle leaves the boundaries of the service area, the distance from the strategic location of the service vehicle to the site of breakdown until the end of the tow will be deducted. If the preferred location is outside the service area, the service vehicle’s return from the preferred location to the service area will also be deducted.
