PHILIPPINE INTERNATIONAL DRIVING PERMIT

For an additional fee of 300.00 only, AAP members can enjoy driving in any foreign land with the PIDP (Philippine International Driving Permit) using  private vehicles and  rent-a-car vehicles  alike except in non- participating countries such  as Taiwan and other communist countries. Being the National Auto Club, AAP is the sole issuer of  the International Driving Permit in the country.

It takes only an hour or less for one to get a PIDP when a member presents his current/ valid local driving license and files an application at the main office located at 683 Aurora Blvd. Q.C. during office hours, (Mondays thru Fridays  between 8:00 to 4:30 pm and Saturdays between 8:00 and 11:00.)

Applications filed through our extension offices  are forwarded to the main office for centralized processing. Releasing of the PIDP will be at the same extension office (AAP Makati or AAP Alabang extension office) on  the following working day. PIDP applications through our extension offices in Cebu and Davao usually require 4 to 5 working days before its release to give allowance for mailing.

A word of caution: Using a fake/spurious international driving permit may get you into serious trouble while traveling or working abroad.. Penalties may range from stiff fines to deportation or even imprisonment.

Please take note that AAP is the sole authorized issuer of the Philippine International Driving Permit (PIDP).  If you got your PIDP in any place other than AAP, there may be a big chance that you have been issued a spurious PIDP.

If you have any reason to doubt the authenticity of the PIDP issued to you, please call or visit AAP immediately so we can establish the authenticity of your PIDP.  If  it turns out that you are in possession of a spurious PIDP, it is better that you find out ( with AAP`s help) while you are still in the country.  AAP can no longer help you if and when your spurious PIDP gets you into trouble abroad.
